The park site's pads are limestone with grass and lots of trees. They are level and well kept. It would be hard to compare the facilities with high end condo parks, but the friendly staff and comfortable setting made up the difference to us. An example of their interest in customer satisfaction is that they keep a list of sites where a roof mounted satellite dish can capture a signal, and it works.

I agree with other reviews that the campground is nice and managements is very nice. But level sites with 50 amps for big rigs are few and in a loop opposite the office from the rest of the sites. They are maneuverable, but very tight. We will return and ask for site M3 and hope that we can level there. I added that Wi-Fi is available but will note that it has bandwidth controls and starts out strong and soon slows and even disconnects. But its included in the cost.

I suspect that regional ratings differ greatly. A 9 rating to me would include at least neat level gravel sites and maybe concrete or blacktop pads. The sites where we were are grass and squished mud under the weight of our tires. We were able to level. 50 amp service was not available. WiFi has been installed but the repeater in our area was not working. I would return, but without the delusion that the campground is anything more than average. We stayed in a motor home.

This is primarily a retirement community with some homes and many owned RV lots. The 20 listed are for travelers. Its a gated CG and well kept. There are no rag tag units or sites. The sites have ample room. The site we had had the 50 amp hookup on the wrong side of our coach and about 30 feet further than our cord would reach, but had a 30 amp hookup well within reach. WiFi is only available in the rec room. The rate we paid was for Coast to Coast. We would stay there again, just not in site 183.

This is the same campground as Sundown Campground but under new ownership. I would agree with much of what was said about Sundown, but with a positive spin. We got in and out with a 40 foot motor home and towed and there was a 37 foot 5th wheel pulled by a Kenworth with a sleeper trailing a towed car that got in and out. But the turns are a bit tight. We had no trouble leveling. The owners were very friendly and the view out the front window is awesome. We would stop there again.

I mostly want to correct the MP to 197. We camped in a motor home and the spots were level and double wide for slides and parking a toad. There is a dump area and potable water as you leave the RV area. The RV area is across from the restaurants near the car parking area and there is plenty of light. It works very well for a single night.

This campground is apparently still recovering from Katrina. The sites that were open were either unlevel or wet or both. Most of the sites were permanent and this is a membership campground. We would have forgiven that, but our phone messages were not returned and when we arrived, during "open hours," there was no one in the office. We found it preferable to spend the night in the parking lot of a closed grocery store, and did. I fully understand that there may be another side and reiterate that we were not able to talk with anyone we had made a reservation by phone. Also, we were not able to access the web site.

This campground is located right off I-10 and would be adequate for a quick overnight stop. The sites are narrow but adequate for us as only every other site was used. We would return.

We were assigned a site on the outer ring that had no concrete pad, as those in the inner ring, and was closer to the sewage treatment area. When we protested we were told that nothing else was available, but the next morning found at least 7 empty sites that the manager admitted were available. We arrived on a Sunday at closing time ( 3 PM) and in retrospect realize that the two employees there just dumped us and left. We were very disappointed in the Encore Park and will not return and will avoid Encore parks in the future.

This is not the best place we've ever stayed, but it is better than a 1. We were given a level pull through site and had no trouble with insects. Yes, there were many permanent sites, but they were all neat and clean. I would say that it was a little pricey compared to other places we've stayed, but comparable to south Florida in the winter.

This campground is better than half permanent sites, but they are well cared for and everyone is friendly. We were given a site for a 40 foot motor home and told to go the wrong way on streets to get to the site. When we arrived there was not enough room to back into the site that was angled in the wrong direction. I tried to back in, but wasn't able to. I decided to drive down the street and come back up the right way so I could back in. When I got to the end of the street I wasn't able to make either turn and that's why it was suggested that I go the wrong way. I ended up backing to a place where I could turn around and then backed all the way into the site. This is not to condemn the campground, but to forewarn visitors. There are no tables or grills. It is a nice clean place with reasonable prices to explore the area and we will return.

This is a nice campground as described. The sites are dirt pads. Our 20 foot sewer hose would not reach the connection and the water hookup was on the passenger side of the motorhome requiring us to attach a 25 ft hose to a 25 foot hose to reach. It seemed to us that the campground was a bit pricey considering those flaws.

This is a beautiful park in a pretty place with great owners. It's located a short walk from the New River where there is rafting and a great walking/bike trail. The surrounding mountains and parks are great for exploring and views and the Blue Ridge Parkway is a short drive. This was our second visit and we will return.

This is a nice city park with a very friendly staff. It is a short walk to the marina and there is a very nice bike/walking path close by. It is heavily treed, making it difficult to get a satellite connection. There is a dump station but it has fittings for a boat that don't fit what most of us carry with us. I don't know if the little store carries an adapter, but an adapter is described on the pump. Many of the sites are long and paved. The staff will allow you to pick out a site and several are level. It's a circular campground and some of the sites would be a little tight for a long RV.

We arrived at about 1:30 PM and they required a $15 early check-in fee. I asked if they needed to make the bed and clean the room. The clerk said nothing. The bathrooms were dirty and the sites are very close together. There was no sewer connection available

The park is easy on and off I-55. And its clean with a friendly staff. We camped there in a 40 foot motor home and had difficulty finding a 50 amp site level enough. There were level sites that we assume were limited to 30 amps because we were not offered them. The campground advertised pay for use WiFi, but it was not available when we visited. The staff said they were looking for another source.

The number of sites available is an estimate. The campground has many permanent and seasonal sites that are well kept. In some campgrounds permanent and seasonal sites are a negative. They are not at this campground. Everyone was very friendly. There are also several fishing guides on site for lake Erie. The campground is on Lake Erie with about 1000 ft of frontage/Beach. Sewer hookups are not available but there is a dump station. The restrooms were clean when we inspected them, but they are not ornate. There are trees all around the campground, but the sites are in the open. We will visit this campground again.

The campground is close to the expressway with a very friendly staff. There is some shade. We will visit again when we're in the area.

We camped there in a motor home using our Coast to Coast membership. There was very little shade, but it served us well traveling through as it was reasonably close to the expressway. The rest rooms were clean and the sites were adequate for a motor home.

The sites were back in on a relatively level concrete pad. There are sites across from the water, but none on the water. WiFi is not available on the site, but is available a short walk to the restaurant. The owner was friendly as was the staff. We will stay there again.

We camped there in a motor home using our Coast to Coast membership. We'd be happy to run into a park like this at all of our destinations.

We camped there in a motor home. Maneuvering beyond a few sites near the entrance was very difficult with a 40 foot motor home and the first site they assigned us was not level enough. There was no sewer connections and the dump site was on a circle that the motor home would not have been able to get to. But its a very busy and pretty camp ground.

We camped there in a motor home as Coast to Coast members. The park is several miles off the main road on fairly well maintained roads. We were the only campers the night we stayed. The sites were sand and dirt with pine trees with dirt road access. The management was very friendly. The park is just a little too remote for our taste.

The sites were rather tight for a 40 foot motor home and not very level. But it worked well as a highway stop with clean clean facilities.
